Editorial Policy: Recipe Sources, Checks & Corrections
A useful recipe guide must distinguish a game mechanic, a community estimate and a tested software calculation. This policy explains the evidence behind this site and the limits of its tools.

The recipe model used by this site
The homepage uses a bundled Hidden50/pq community dataset. Exact combinations are grouped by dish and quality. Species probabilities are calculated by dividing a species weight by the matching dish-quality total. The model is not presented as an official probability release.
The current snapshot includes 1,963 unambiguous mixes. Two conflicting entries and 37 uncovered combinations are excluded from predictions. The 62 represented dish-quality groups should not be confused with a separate official list of 62 dishes.
What a successful test proves
Logic checks can establish that ingredient costs scale correctly, that all included mixes are reachable through filters, and that displayed probabilities match the source weights. They can also detect broken input handling, impossible inventory claims and mismatched static tables.
Those checks do not prove that every underlying community figure is correct in the game. They also do not replace testing the published page on a phone, checking accessibility or measuring real loading performance. We avoid using a large test count as a substitute for explaining these limits.
How disagreements are handled
References can disagree about rates, ingredient properties or older assumptions. The site keeps one disclosed calculation model instead of combining incompatible values. Important differences are noted where they affect a player’s choice; for example, some published Dratini percentages differ.
A recipe example must match the dish and quality represented in our own included table before it is used in a guide. “Best” is only meaningful with a stated criterion, such as highest source-model chance. It does not automatically mean cheapest to farm or best for every player.
What we do not claim
We do not guarantee a visitor, a shiny result, a move, a specific stat roll or a ranking in search results. We do not invent author qualifications, testimonials, reviews or in-game verification. A review date means the content was checked; it does not mean the game received an update on that date.
Evidence that helps investigate a recipe problem
Send corrections through our contact page. Useful details include the exact five ingredient slots, selected pot, resulting dish and quality, game version/platform and the observed visitor. An unexpected species from a valid pool is different from a wrong-dish result.
A clear correction should identify what changed and why. Until a disputed rule is resolved, uncertainty should remain visible rather than being replaced by a confident guess. See ingredient points and pot costs for the two distinctions most likely to cause misunderstandings.
