The five slots to use

Basic Brain Food à la Cube

Basic / Normal · five slots

3 × Bluk Berry2 × Apricorn

Bag cost: 9 Bluk Berry, 6 Apricorn

Use three Bluk Berry slots and two Apricorn slots. “Bluk Berry” is the ingredient name; “Bulk Berry” is a common spelling mistake in recipe lists. This exact combination produces Basic Brain Food in the dataset used by our finder. It needs no Honey, Rainbow Matter or Mystical Shell.

The included community model assigns Abra all of this dish-quality pool: 10,000 out of 10,000 weight, shown as 100%. That is a source-model figure, not an independent in-game trial or a promise about moves, stats or a shiny result.

Each recipe slot spends the selected pot’s amount. Three berry slots in a Gold pot therefore cost 60 berries, not three. Use the selector above to switch the written example to your pot. The cooking-pot guide explains the difference between ingredient cost and dish quality.

If you only want an affordable first Abra and own enough small ingredients for the Basic pot, you do not need to turn this mix into an expensive Special dish. Choosing a pot and choosing a dish-quality tier are separate decisions.

An alternative when you are short of Apricorn

Basic Brain Food with one Fossil slot

Basic / Normal · five slots

3 × Bluk Berry1 × Fossil1 × Apricorn

Bag cost: 9 Bluk Berry, 3 Fossil, 3 Apricorn

This verified alternative uses three Bluk Berry slots, one Fossil slot and one Apricorn slot. It stays in the same Basic Brain Food group. Both examples therefore have the same modeled attraction pool, although their costs come from different parts of your bag.

Do not assume every hard or sweet ingredient is freely interchangeable. An ingredient can change more than one recipe property, including quality points. Check your complete replacement in the homepage recipe finder rather than changing a slot based only on its colour.

Why a more expensive dish is not automatically better

Quality is useful only in relation to the Pokémon you want. A broad statement such as “always cook Special” can waste rare ingredients when the target already has a focused lower-quality option. Our direct Abra recommendation uses Basic Brain Food, so there is no need to guess an upgraded variation here.

The model also includes other dishes that can attract Abra, but a broader pool does not improve on this particular Basic Brain Food result. If you are trying to use ingredients you already own, use inventory mode and read the dish, quality and cost together. The ingredient guide explains those properties.

From Abra to Kadabra and Alakazam

In the original Pokémon Quest, Abra’s evolution level is 16 for Kadabra; Kadabra’s is 36 for Alakazam. Check the Everstone setting if you intend to evolve. Cooking attracts a visitor; leveling and evolution are later steps, so a recipe should not be described as directly guaranteeing your finished Alakazam build.

Before spending training resources, inspect the Pokémon you received. The recipe does not select its move layout, individual stats or every trait you might want for your team. Keep the cooking decision separate from a future training or move guide.

If the result looks wrong

I got a different dish. What should I check?

Check all five ingredient slots and the final dish name. A wrong dish points to a mix or rule mismatch; it is different from an unexpected visitor from the correct pool. Use the recipe troubleshooting guide to separate these cases.

Does this recipe guarantee a shiny Abra?

No. The attraction figure concerns species in the source model. It is not a shiny probability or a promise that repeating a certain number of cooks will produce one.

Can I use the same five slots in a Gold pot?

Yes, the recipe still has five slots. The Gold pot spends 20 ingredients per slot, making this example 60 Bluk Berries and 40 Apricorns. Make sure your inventory can cover that batch.
